Pharmaceutical manufacturing is one of the most skilled and highly regulated industries in the world and our plants employ the latest technologies and meet the most stringent standards.
Until the closure of the Basingstoke site in 2008, Lilly had two manufacturing facilites in the UK - a dry products facility in Basingstoke, Hampshire and a bulk biotechnology facility in Speke, Merseyside. Between the sites, Lilly has won the Queen´s Award for International Trade in 1974, 1996 and 2001.
